Deeply savoury bean-mushroom patties smashed thin and crisp, in buns with all the layers.
Quantities scaled from the original (4 servings).
Tick ingredients off as you gather them.
Mash the beans roughly; mix with the dry-fried mushrooms, oats, soy, paprika and garlic.
Form 4 balls; chill 15 minutes.
Smash flat into a hot oiled pan; crisp 3 to 4 minutes a side.
Build the buns with everything.
